Last week, I had the opportunity to invite 68 of our strategic partner organizations (Suppliers, Factories, 3PLs, Freight Forwarders, Ocean Carriers, Domestic Trucking Carriers, Drayage Providers, Inspection Companies, and Ports Officers) at Havertys Global Supply Chain Summit – with the sole purpose of (1) reiterating importance of our partners to the success of Havertys, (2) setting the agenda for improve supply chain performance (3) challenging them to do better and collaborating together to elevate the supply chain game in the industry (rising tide lifts all boats).
The central message to all partners were: Changing times, changing consumer behavior and the changing retail landscape require us to collectively work together. Much will happen in the next 10 years than the last 40 in our industry, making it ‘Mission Critical’ for us to change together to thrive and succeed. Thank you to all our partners for attending and renewing their commitment to Havertys. Thanks to all of the executives from Havertys and our partner organizations for your support. The hard work of following through on our plans together starts now.
