After 24 years of doing this, I can safely say, I am proud to be a Supply Chain Boy.

Supply Chain Management is the ultimate endeavor that humans engage in; it happens millions of times per day, and consumers take it for granted. All the automation, algorithms, brilliant minds, hard working staff, truckers, workers and teams has been obscured and rolled behind this expectation of ultimate convenience of one-click buying and consuming.

The pandemic has shown consumers how unsustainable and unrealistic that expectation is. It has also shown, how absolutely amazing this field is, for personal and professional growth. Organizations that treat Supply Chain as a backend function are not going to find themselves leading the pack anymore. It has also demonstrated how important Supply Chain is to the organizational strategy.
